The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux

You play the game as Paul Prospero, an occult-minded detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing the boy is in grave danger, Paul arrives at Ethan’s home of Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he imagined. Ethan has vanished in the wake of a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discerns might not be the only local murder worth looking into.

Read Before You Start!

The camera only works with the version that as the console open. Add the exe as a non Steam game to your library if you don’t want to navigate to the game folder everytime.

  • Right click the game and choose Browse local file.
  • Once in the folder open \EthanCarter\Binaries\Win64.
  • Copy the full path. Eg D:\Games\steamapps\common\The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux\EthanCarter\Binaries\Win64
  • In Steam click Add a Game located bottom left.
  • Choose Add a non Steam Game and click on Browse.
  • Paste the path and choose EthanCarter-Win64-Console.exe the Open.
  • CLick Add Selected Programs.

It should appears in your game list as EthanCarter-Win64-Console.

How To

Use The Cheat Table

Once you have installed Cheat Engine 7.5 or higher (if not already done), click twice on the cheat table file you downloaded. Check the Auto Attach to Game box. Cheat Engine will automatically connect to the game when detected. Press Page Down to enable the camera structure.

This is in fact pretty simple. Press Page Down when you start your gaming session and leave it on. So, when you feel taking a shot, do the following:

  • Press NUMPAD 0 to pause the game.
  • Press Delete to disable the HUD
  • Press Insert to detach the camera and activate the camera movement
  • Frame, take your shot and go the other way around to get back in game.
